Shannon completed her Bachelor’s in the field of education (elementary, early childhood, and
specific learning disabilities) at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL. Following several years
of working with elementary students in the public schools, she obtained her Master’s in
Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Shannon
has recently retired from the public school system after 30 years of service!! Thirteen of those
years included working with a PreK Assessment Team and Child Find. She has also worked at a
private clinic, home health agency, and Kaplan as an online instructor. Shannon has a passion
for assisting caregivers and helping children meet their full potential. Communication is the
foundation! Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with friends and family,
volunteering with a local animal rescue, reading, walking, kickboxing, and exploring nature.
